Why our families choose Wagner Road Kindergarten

Wagner Road Kindergarten has been providing high quality early childhood education for more than 30 years. We are a Lady Gowrie affiliated kindergarten service.

We are located alongside Wagner Road Early Childhood Centre, and we offer a 5-day fortnight pre-prep program from 8.30am to 2.40pm, with access to before and after care and school holiday programs. Our centre has an integrate model of care with the kindergarten being a distinct service but working holistically with the childhood centre. Children move through different age groupings from one year to the next – their familiarity with the environment and educators in each room facilitates smooth, supportive and welcoming transitions, meaning children feel safe, secure and settled as they move onto kindergarten.

Play Spaces

Play Spaces

Our indoor and outdoor learning environments are recognised by ACECQA as spaces which enhance learning and growth; from our creek, mud patch, sandpit, bike riding tracks, climbing fort and swings, to our vegetable gardens where we grow olives, lemons, vegetables and herbs.

Arts and community

Arts and community

We actively support children’s interests in specific topics with resources regularly brought in from the Queensland Museum, and each year children enjoy an excursion to GOMA or the Queensland Art Gallery which supports the development of children’s creativity and imagination. We provide regular incursions which are fun and interactive, and enable our children to engage with new experiences and concepts, such as science, music, drama, the environment, nature, health, safety and wellbeing.

Families

Families

Our families are very important to us and we recognise the valuable role parents play in their children’s education. We actively encourage parental participation in our daily activities.
